container watering

I've hand watering many new plants in containers mostly 1-2 gallons.

But I need a plan for when I go on vacation for up to 2 weeks. What is the best way to water these plants? I have set up a drip system for my flower bed using the yard faucet and 1 GPH drippers. I usually water it for a couple of hours at least. What GPH drippers should I use for container plants? How about 4 GPH per plant but much shorter duration?

BTW, what is a good timer? I see a raindrip timer at the store which is 2 outlets and 2 seperate timers (2 "zones")which might be a good bet to seperate watering my bed and containers., but the max is only 2 hours I am thinking for watering the beds more than 2 hours might be needed?
