B & S question

I own a Cub Cadet 1641 with a 16hp. B & S Vanguard. A short while ago the front crankshaft seal moved forward on the crankshaft and began leaking oil behind it. I bought a new seal, thoroughly cleaned the block recess for the seal and the new seal itself with a good solvent, put a thin dab of RTV on the outer surface of the seal and seated it in it's recess in the block. All is well, no leaks after approx. 4 - 5 hours of use. However, I'm wondering if the original seal may have come out of the block due to excessive pressure in the crankcase. My question is, how is the crankcase vented on this motor and where will I find/check the venting? I used the RTV on the new seal to prevent any future movement, but if venting is an issue I'd like to make sure that it's taken care of. Any help/information is appreciated.
