I have always used a big hoe. It's one I call an Italian hoe, or sometimes they are called a grape hoe. It's a heavy hoe head with a ring part that slips down over a handle. The handle is about as thick as a baseball bat and long.

I recently broke the handle and can't seem to find a replacement anywhere. Any ideas where I can find one. I'll pay for shipping but this is my favorite tool that I use almost every day. I'll even buy the hoe and handle together if I have to.
