I used to have a Kemp chipper/shredder with a 5hp motor. Biggest design flaw was that there was no clutch. So you would have to spin the whole thing to start the motor. and after you got it started it was more work than it was worth. I gave it away several years ago.

Ordered it from Woodward Crossing in Lancaster Co, PA. Real nice folks.

Anyway, the machine just flies. Larger stuff has to be "bucked", the chute isn't huge. But really glad I got it.

I have an old wagon that holds about 1 yard. The machine fills it pretty fast, maybe 45 minutes.

If you own an old ag tractor, or compact or have a neighbor with one you can borrow, consider it. Great for clearing.
