I have a Snapper RER mower purchased in 2003. The rubber boots covering the rear axle are falling apart. A quick repair guess by the selling dealer is about $200 Â having to pull both rear wheels and other components plus $35 for pick up of the mower and return from the dealer. Does this sound reasonable? And is the repair a "must-do?" Any ideas as to a much easier alternative for covering the axles instead of the boots?
