get the paper out piece by piece, should be ok unless you damaged the belt.

First thing is to change to an internet newspaper...
Machine off, reach in and twist the impeller backwards to release the paper.

LOL. This is not an uncommon problem. As Tom suggests, switch to an on line newspaper. Second, cut the newspaper apart piece by piece until the auger turns freely. Third, check the shear pins and auger belt. Fourth, clear the front step with a shovel or broom.

I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE!! Heh heh . I think I did this within the first hour of operation. Yesterday, I did a quick policing and picked up a few branches and a mat that would be bad to ingest. 2 minutes is all. I think removing the Sunday paper took at least 20 minutes.

That's okay I found the bronze cap on the gas main (again). I heard it 'clink' and immediately released the auger control, no worries. 15" here in Sandwich.
