mtd snowblower not running

Hi I have a mtd snowblower with a 10.5 tecumse motor and it seems to be surging after it warms up, but when the govenor kicks in it runs fine. Checked the fuel line and is getting lots of gas, choke is wide open. It ran good last week but for some reason started running rough last night. Thanks
