watering 2nd floor window boxes

I have several window boxes on my house. 6 on the first floor & 6 on the 2nd floor. Right now I am watering them with a homemade PVC extension off my hose. I'd like to set up a more automatic watering system using drip irrigation. I have wide enough siding that I could tuck small clear tubing under the edges and it wouldn't be seen much. The system would still need to hook into my hose. I have a programmable timer for my hose. My question is what do I need to get water to the window boxes? Can I just use a standard drip system like the Rainbird ones? I'm concerned about having enough water pressure to go vertical. I'd like to minimize the number of times I need to go up the house...ideallly just once or twice so it can be on the side rather than in front. Any help hugely appreciated as I was using the PVC watering wand 2 times per day some of this summer...even with water crystals in my window box soil.

Thanks!
