Winterizing with capped heads

Our new sprinkler system includes one zone with a short section (about four heads) that we haven't planted yet, so I replaced the rotator nozzles with solid caps. These are Rainbird 1800 spray heads.

Do I need to put the rotators back in before we blow them out for winter? My concern is that the cylinders under the caps probably still have water in them.
