I installed 5 Toro 3/4" electric sprinkler valves a couple of years ago, and they have given me nothing but problems. Several have leaked, still under warranty, so I replaced them. Not too long ago I looked out at the front yard, and the sprinklers were on, and I couldn't shut them off (either with the controller or manually). I finally had to shut off the main water supply. Turns out some minor gasket in the valve had cracked. Toro sent me out some free replacements. That's nice, but I need some valves that are dependable. I don't want to worry about the sprinklers when I am on vacation.

I am also thinking of adding some sprinkler heads to cover a large lot (probably rotor head). What is a reliable brand or type?
