That is a common problem. You could gently apply heat with a rosebud tip on a gas torch, a Benzomatic is not enough, but be careful around the gearbox and outer bearings.
It will not create an issue unless you hit something that would normally break the shear pins. Good luck.

This maybe one of those choose your battles things. If you can get no lube in , then you will have to heat it, which means you are replacing gasket,seals and what ever else you damage. Is it worth going through the hours of heating, pounding and replacing of bent/ broken parts just to have shear bolts? Toros for years used grade 5 bolts and they didn't die. If it were my own machine, I'd probably do the same. Think of how fun it will be if you do hit something hard enough to shear one of those bolts and you cant get the auger to move back to replace the bolt.
