Bad boy transaxle broke

I have a bad boy mower. Today while mowing I heard something snap. Turned out to be the left axle snaped st the splines on the gear. 1st-anyone had problems?-Anyone direct me to where I can get replacement-Last,the dealer give me the model #-but hydro-gear has changed the number.I have heard they have slowed the pump down which might be a problem when matched with old one.Any help? Hope this has not been too long.I am at a lost as I have not found out much ,can not buy just shaft and may have to buy 2 units to match. $1000.00 OUCH---Thanks for any help,Dave
