What are some ideas for a big and 2 story tall wall? it's in living room and is opposite of fireplace. everything I put on it looks so small and then when I line things up it looks so square.

a colorful antique runner rug as a wall hanging may match the scale. More often then not bringing hanging lights or glass pieces to a mid level can make the room warmer and in scale. Most new builds don't consider the a walk in rums-ford fire box is a complement to these over tall spaces.

Have a group of Family Photos or art so the eye stops there rather than wander to the Height of that area .
