It's been colder than that here, Donn! BRRRRRRRRRR!

Don your funny. I can't stand our winters.....brrr... I think i'm a southern girl born in the North. I can't wait till it gets warm:-)

Exceptionally cold here, with lows as cold as 3° and highs in the teens and low 20s since the first of the year. Have also had the same ugly dirty few inches of snow on the ground since then. It finally got a little above freezing 2 days ago, supposed to be in the 40s again today. That ugly dirty snow is finally disappearing.

Donn, you're putting the jinx on us. February can be brutal, especially with ice.

T--sitting in her toasty office with the portable heater cranked up.

We had a nice week of weather in the forties, but it is back to cold this coming week with snow in the forcast! I am soooo ready for spring!

"Donn, you're putting the jinx on us. February can be brutal, especially with ice."

I thought about that, so I knocked wood as I posted.

The coldest day last January was 7, on the 17th.

Last February's average low was 28, and the average high was 42.

Our coldest day last winter was on March 3, when we hit 4.

It has been very cold here this winter. December was the coldest in 20 years. This month we have been in an inversion. Lots of cold, air pollution, and fog. It is so ugly. Storms are coming in this week which should clear the air.

It was 60 degrees here today. 45 is the forecasted overnight low. It's gonna rain buckets. Good thing too, after all the soil thawed, my containers look a little on the dry side.

So far so good here. No brutal cold as they've had out west which pleases me.

My main concern is always the freeze-thaw cycles we get which make the plants heave like there's no tomorrow, but we had a great snow storm which covered the ground with 1.5 feet of snow a few weeks ago and it seems to be staying. YES!! :O)

Knocking on wood too!

I think the lowest we got here was 14°, but those wind chills were brutal!

Had a tropical heat wave yesterday, though ....

Hello to my "neighbors" Donn and Trudi. I'm knocking on wood too! I'm very afraid of February:-)
