there was one pear at grandma.. that had to be 80 to 100 feet ... but i was a kid.. so who knows about that .. lol .. so at 20 feet .. yours is a dwarf ....

the bombs fell from the tree in fall ... and took a few weeks to ripen once down ... in other words... unblemished fruit [unrotted] need not be picked.. FROM WHAT I RECALL ..

Unfortunately they lied. It is almost 20 feet high.

That is ~the size of the dwarf form.

You may want to take an orchard class so you can learn to prune to ladder-sprayer height. Maybe the best place for tools & supplies now IMHO is AM Leonard.

Thank you guys for responding. So my tree is Dwarf. My mind was thinking Dwarf is 10 feet. I have Raspberry, Blackberry and Grapes which are short and very easy to handle. My Apple tree is young about 4 years old and it is about 12 feet I hope is not going to grow taller than that. I saw on one link a fruit picker tool I think it will work. Thanks again.

in theory.. dwarf simply means a lesser growth rate than a non-dwarf ...

so if a momma redwood grows 10 feet a year... a dwarf of her might only grow 6 ...

also.... if momma is 385 feet tall ... a dwarf of her might be a mere 250 in the same amount of years ...

some extreme examples.. but i bet you wont forget.... its all about the annual growth rate
