John Deere 445 No Start

I was mowing some very large weeds and hit a piece of wood. It apparently lodged in the deck because when I attempted to restart the deck the engine died. It no longer even powers up. The battery is fully charged. the red fuse inline with the ignition is still good as are the two blue ones on the pc board near the engine. The green L.E.D. came on momentarily and the fuel pump powered up but when I hit the key it all died as if I had a bad connection on the battery. It has not powered up since. The crank turns free and the engine has compression. Any ideas???

The no power was a corroded negative battery cable. It was intermittently making contact. Still have no fuel pump. Green light on the PC board comes on but the red one not.. Anyone know the colors on the fuel pump wires so I don't have to pull the tractor apart to look?

If I'm reading the service manual correctly, pink/black and black.

I found a 445 service manual on one of the many tractor sites on the web and was able to download it for free.

I will keep looking at it for more info. It has a ton of info! BTW - what is the s/n of your unit?

Is there a bank of fuses on the board? Trying to dissect the info in the manual without seeing the tractor (I haven't picked up the 445 I just bought) isn't easy. It looks like there are a number of fuses as well as fuseable links.

I'm sorry if I'm not being much help but I'm trying!
