My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
They're deep enough, but I bet you'll find in the spring, you're watering them all the time as they dry out. If you do use them, keep them in a shady spot after they germinate. I prefer larger containers. At least as wide as they are deep.
I probably wouldn't use them for wintersowing. I've always wanted to buy them and try them for use indoors. They look like they'd work great for propagating cuttings, but, like Token, I think they just seem small. I'd have a hard time stuffing all that into such a small square. Nice and deep, though.
They work here, but our climates are so different - at least I picture yours cold and dry.
I have some I've used for years, so many years when I looked at Charleys website this morning I don't even see where the exact size I have available now - about 1 3/4 x 4", 24 cells to a flat. I can sow and put on my deck in winter, no lids but with just a little grit topping the cells, and never have to think about watering them until I'm outside regularly in more Spring like weather anyway.
I didn't see my 4x5" deep individual pots either, kind of wish I hadn't checked out the website :( But I should have enough on hand for at least this year...I sow/grow in those too. Now that I think about it, nothing I'm sowing or growing goes into pots as wide as deep, all are deeper than wide.
