If you are Wintersowing you don't have to bother with lights and heatmats and worry about soil temp. Trudi D "invented" wintersowing because she had the same problem you and many of us have- lots of seeds and no space for lights, heatmats, etc. Check out Wintersown.org.

After you read all you can about winter sowing come back to this forum with your questions. You'll find that this is a very friendly forum and people are very helpful and patient. This is my 1st year of winter sowing and I have no reason to believe that it doesn't work if you follow some simple steps. The toughest concept that I had to get through my head was that it's simple to WS with positive results. Do you plan to raise flowers vegetables or both?
