Thanks, Windcatcher, but i'm too far away from that area, to go look at it. I live 12 miles from Pittsburgh, Pa., am 86 YOA, and my Mrs. would take away my pick-em-up, if i tried to go that far! Gotta find something closer to home.
Like 50 miles, or less! Rusty J.

Rusty take the Wifey with yah , she might enjoy the Ride lol :)

Rusty,

Is this the engine you're referring to? If so, that helps us zero in on the engine you're talking about.

I know it is a long way for you to get this particular engine, but I was wondering if this was the right one.

I couldn't tell by those photos, if it was like mine.
Mine is the Tecumseh XL, cast iron, horizontal crank-shaft, #OH140 160027F, Serial: 4048E.
Installed in a Bolens 1400 Eliminator tractor.
I am going to delve a bit deeper into the flywheel area, to see if maybe Mr. mousie might have made his dinner and home under the tin work. And, i am going to seek another engine, if all else fails.
Thanks for the replies. Rusty J.
