point the chain end down- trying to empty fuel. Let it sit for a day. Next time you start it, use a little choke, only prime 1-2times. If it doesn't start, hold the trigger and pull. Be carful of the chain when it starts if you have the trigger depressed.

A compression test and to confirm exhaust port/ muffler clean enough is a good thing. Fuel fresh? Has the saw sat a while or a somewhat regular user?

Since it runs with a little fuel it could be you have a small air leak in the fuel system. It would prevent fuel from
reaching the engine. I had that problem on a weed whacker.

I have two questions. How would i find a air leak in the fuel system and if the spark plug is wet is the fuel system working. Thanks

An air leak may be as simple as a cracked fuel line, loose carburetor mounting screws or a cracked intake boot. However, the more elusive ones usually show up with a pressure test which require special tools and a skilled tech.
A wet spark plug usually indicates too much fuel due to over choking. Your original post points to an internal carb problem as the machine will start and quit if primed.

Take the carb apart and clean it. Any seal problems should be apparent, and you will clear any fuel blocks.

The intake/carb boot under the carb is in shreds and needs replaced....
