Dangerous--Variegated?!

I recently beheaded my Dangerous to grow a few babies. It tends to sucker in the first place, so I just tossed out the tiny crown and let the stub start growing. The FC2 description of this plant is:

Dangerous (8509) 11/09/1996 (S. Sorano) Double red pansy/mauve overlay. Dark green, plain, pointed. Semiminiature

and I've never found it to be otherwise. But look!

All three of the new babies on the stub are doing this. I had given a (previous) sucker of this plant to my aunt, and when I visited her the other day, it was also showing some variegation. The sucker was not expressing that when I gave it to her a few months ago.

I think I'm going to start a normal leaf of the plant and see what happens. This is pretty exciting. I wish I could check the other suckers I had given away, but alas, all the others went to people who killed them.
