Hey Pequa - you wouldn't like my current set up for the lone eclipse three I have - it's barebottom, barebones set up! LOL For the lone betta that is housed in it.

But I love these little 3 gallon tanks for bettas. Easy to maintain, pretty much completely silent/no noise, light is strong enough for a lowlevel light live plant. I rarely replace the filters - just rinse and reuse. The biowheel is terrific - keeps the water balanced and sparkling clean. The back set up is nice - you can feed the wire for a heater without any problems so the hood still fits snuggly on the tank.

Just be careful with the cleaning - use only scrubbies for acrylic tanks or you'll scratch it up. And the only complaint I really have is sometimes having a hard time finding the replacement bulb for it (just found that PetSmart carries them regularly, though).

From time to time, take apart the stem part that runs up to the motor of the pump to clean up the impeller. That will keep things running smoothly.

I like the Eclipse very much for reasons mentioned by skygee but will add that the motor that runs the filter system keeps it fairly warm (mine is 2.5 gallon) almost too warm if room temperature up, so I turn low light off during middle of day if necessary... Low light plants do just fine such as Java moss, Java fern (small) and Anubias Nana so on... Like them a lot and using as hospital tank right now... Sherry
