While Bettas can breathe atmospheric air just fine, they still produce wasteproducts and a small vessel without filtration (and being cycled) is a setup for disaster. They do like a warmer temp, around 80, but they can die from Ammonia poisoning without being in a Nitrogen cycled environment.

So like a 10 gallon or 5 gallon with biological filtration(gravel) and mechanical filtration would be my much more plausible. Alright I'll do something like that later right now I am gonna get the aquatics from a TF member then add fish since I think I got that under control for my 55 gallon tank plant thingy.

Yup, I would treat them like a typical tropical fish!
