winter sowing

I am a newbie, and decided to try winter sowing, however, I'm afraid I might have started some things too early. They are mostly perennials such as penstemons & columbines but also a few annuals(larkspurs). Most were started early to late January. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You are okay..In wintersowing they will not germinate till they are ready..

I am also in zone 5 and sowed Penstemon and several kinds of Columbines in early January. Any perennials are great for winter sowing any time during the season.
