That is awesome. I picked up the latest copy of this magazine at the store last week. It's a great publication for people who live in town, but want to treat their yards like farms and raise lots of food and flowers. I was interested in the chickens. ;)

    Good job, Trudi!

    Trudi,

Every year you never cease to amaze me! I am so proud of what you do and everything you have done. You have changed so many peoples lives for the better you deserve a huge round of applause and a hug and pat on the back.

Good job and keep up the hard work. You are greatly appreciated.

I would love to have chickens here but we're not zoned for it. They eat slugs and snails and I've got plenty of those--so the chickies would be quite happy.

It's a nice magazine, they contacted me at the very end of last year, and asked to do something WS. So, it worked out nice. They are just lovely people to work with.

Yay Trudi!!!!!! Way to spread the word!

Well, Winter Sowers are very good at spreading the word so I suppose that I should do it sometimes too ;-)

I am a newbie who just popped in last week. I was drawn here when I learned about wintersown.org. Because of this post I also found the Urban Sustainable Living site.

Trudi, you are an enabler! It took me less than 10 minutes to get totally hooked on winter sowing. A least it is a good habit. Please don't quit encouraging people to winter sow.

I don't know how I have lived so long without hearing about it. I plan to start some containers this weekend.

Trudi,Im so thankful to have learned about ws.It has totally saved my sanity during the winter months.Hats off to you.Thank you so much.

I had lost my pink bomber. I think that this past summer when dejunking the attic I put it into a box of donations going to the Salvation Army. Oh well, someone who needs it more than me is now wearing it.

However, I do have to maintain my image and I ordered a new one online tonight. Strangely, they call it an 'Aviator'. Sigh. I prefer to think of it a 'Mad Bomber'. LOL

Trudi, you are the best! I read the whole article.

I am so gald I found out about you and WS'ing. I feel like my life has changed. I don't know what I did over the winter before. Now I get to garden with my containers.

Wonderful job! You are my hero.

Like you, I live in a small house and seed starting was an impossiblity. Now I sow seeds by the thousands and I just love it.

The president of my local gardening club introduced your methods a few years ago and now we are all believers and followers.

Trudi - You have made positive changes in the lives of so many people. It's wonderful to grow hundreds of plants for pennies. It's also wonderful to plant seeds in January and see sprouts a few weeks later.

I used to dislike winter - still do. With WS, the quality of life in winter has changed in a positive way. If I'm not planting seeds, I'm reading, studying, ordering, or planning where and when to plant. It's easier to ignore winter because we are anticipating spring.

Congratulations, Trudi. I hope we can get that magazine up here in Canada. I can show it to a certain 'horticulturist' at a certain nursery who said 'you can't do that!!'. Surprise, surprise!! I would also like to show my neighbours who also think I am quite mad.
