Well its not something i'd normally do, after all fish are hardly intelligent enoug to recognise us, but as the kids were bought for our kids its a different matter!
The Goldfish is named Carrot and the Shibunkin, for 3 year old Matthew is called Fish!

The first batch of fish were named: Bonnie, Clyde, Wendy and Wanda. However, being first fish, they fell victim to this fish keeper's inability to identify and eliminate ich in a timely fashion. Not wanting to get too attached to the second batch of fish, the fish didn't get conventional names, but developed names in the Native American tradition. There is the fat fish, the stick hugger, speedy (actually, a snail), etc. They've been around for so long now, I sort of feel guilty for not giving them names.

I have 4 male guppies. Jose, Corona, Skyy, and an orange one named houdini because he is always found in the filter box although I can never figure out how he got there! lol
