today was the day!!

I've finally begun my winter sowing!! I did my first 5 containers.

Younger Daughter sent me subscriptions to Fine Gardening and Horticulture for Christmas along with two envelopes of her seeds--dark blue columbines from West Seattle and wild

lupine from Darrington up in the Cascades where they have their log cabin. I feel confident about the columbines

but hope that the PNW lupines will grow here in Indiana.

I'll report.

I think I will be in full swing now. I have some collected

seeds of my own, and lots of old seed which may or may not

sprout but certainly won't in the shoebox on my cold office

shelf!!

We have 4-8 inches of snow forcast for tomorrow and Saturday.

This forum rarely fails me. There are messages every day!

Chris
