Hi shpp, If you are going for a monotone room, I probably would skip the glaze, although I love that look. Maybe investigate some clear pulls or painted pulls the same color as the cabinet?

I like your idea of the white room...I would check out Anthropology for some great hardware. They have some fun vintage ones! Good Luck!

Actually, I like the white tone room but I think it's hard to clean up.

The handles are lovely and would look wonderful painted black or a zinc finish. I also love the look of a glazed piece but in this case white would be best for the furniture and then do a bit of a warmer white for your walls. Do make sure that you ground the room though.

Monotone sounds good , but this hardware is nice try to keep it the same .

This scheme, sometimes called monotonal, uses one color, and one color only, with little variation in value or saturation. That is, lighter and darker variations on the color are not part of the overall scheme, nor are duller or brighter variations of that color.
The basic color of the scheme does not have to be the color at its full chroma. For instance the color chosen could be a celery green. But, everything will be that celery green. Imagine trying to find wall color and fabrics, etc., all in the very same exact color. And, imagine the monotony if everything where that color. One would definitely be thankful for any accent colors that could be added.

HI -- shpp -- This is the first time I have ever seen someone with the same cabinet as the one I have; which is part of a bedroom set. Almost everything is the same except mine has a differant top on the doors and also mine has a rounded ( bonnet ) top and it is cedar lined. It was never for a TV- but for sweaters etc. Is yours cedar lined and does it come in two pieces ? I thought about painting mine but have the set for sale now because I would rather get some new furniture. I will watch with interest to see what you are going to do with yours.

love that you are painting that piece white it will be a beautiful update. I suggest painting the handles they are lovely. I love a muted master with layers of texture and a peep of color either blue hues or green hues. It is yummy!

I WOULD SPRAY PAINT THOSE VERY NICE HANDLES SILVER OR PEWTER

I don't know what about spraying them with a chrome finish, might be nice on white
