Chinese Algae Eaters?

Hey All!

I work doing a lot of aquaponic research. One of my systems is in a greenhouse, and due to the increased warmth and light (it was in my basement), algae seems to be taking over everything. I don't mind the algae except on a cosmetic level. The system is seen by a lot of people daily and it needs to look presentable. I was curious as to if Chinese Algae Eaters would work best? or if there is a better solution to controlling the algae. (I do regularly change the water and scrub down the tanks). I need some sort of offense. There is currently one pleco. The tank hold about 25 tilapia. It is 300 gallons. The entire system has about 450 gallons of water. Thanks all!
