I think you can safely start any of them now. It is almost Spring!!! Just get sowing!

I am in Maryland, too. Where do you live? i am in Silver Spring. I just started my sowing this week. I think you can do anything now. The only ones I had trouble with last year and probably should have waited were zinnias. They came up and then died. So I'll go last with them this year.

Hi Burry I am in St Marys County ... This is my first year to try winter sowing , I started some seeds yesterday , ran out of small containers so I am off to Walmart today to get more LOL ... this is a lot of fun ... I hope to have lots of new plants in my garden this year ... I did some tomatoes , poppies , asters , violas, herbs and dahlias ( have never grown them from seed ) I have shelves and lights up in my garage that I will use to start some things but I really like the idea of wintersowing ... Can't wait to see how it works ... I used some of the leftover snow to water some of the seeds but its just about all melted now ... it was 69 here yesterday, was so nice to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and plant seeds ! Will do the same today ;-)
