I can't comment on the viability of your seed or the sowing technique you're using, but I can tell you that soaking the seed for 24 or more hours will speed the rate of germination greatly. I've never tried germinating dry Arisaema seed before but it can be done. Good luck!

No need to soak the seed I was giving out. Germinates fine on a moist towel in a plastic bag for me.

I discovered your offer too late, macdaddy. My seeds are very dry and hard. Winter sowing gives them a really good soak anyway, but I think I'll pre-soak them as well. They'll go outside this week.
