I hope you dont mean you're going to plant them in the ground. They are not frost hardy and would die in our cold winters. If you want you can sit the pots out in a shady part of the yard to enjoy once the temp warms. That would be tropical looking. Just make sure they dont dry out or get direct sun, and dont leave them out too long at 1st. They'll need a transition period going indoors to out.

Ok, now I am confused..I thought they liked sun?? Oh well, even if I cannot use them as planned, they will make a nice addition to the caladium bed. Thank you!!

They do like lots of sun...indoors. The sunlight outside is of far greater intensity and will scorch many indoor plants, including cacti if they are not acclimated to the heat first. So, keep moving them gradually into sun, but not hot afternoon sun. Maybe morning sun.
