This is a late reply but here are my two cents worth, thuesen. The leaves are very yellowish; possibly iron chlorosis. The shrub is planted too close to the others (hosta, etc) and the shallow roots may dislike the company and competition (for water and fertilizer). This compact shrub is also quite close to the foundation of the house, which tends to leech lime and raise the pH of the soil. I would get a pH test kit from a local nursery and check the soil pH. Add sulphur or liquid chelated compounds (available from a local nursery) to raise the soil pH. Luis

My wife and I purchased a new home 3 years ago and previous owners were avid gardeners. They left us with beautiful azaleas surrounding the whole property. My wife and I are not big gardeners. Every year the azaleas have bloomed fine, however, at the end of this summer(after the last bloom) and at the beginning of this fall the plants seem to have dead spots. These plants are probably over 20 years old and we love them, but the dead spots seem to be spreading and we dont know what to do. Please any advise would be greatly appreciated.
