Growing elephant ears

I have a massive concrete pot, 4 feet x 4 feet (the pot is identical to the one in the picture) and got 2 elephant ear bulbs (they are very large bulbs, as large as my hands). My question is can they bulbs be planted in the concrete pot and what location (total sun, part sun or shade) is best for growing them. Any info would be awesome, thanks.

Would assume you're talking about C. esculenta?? People tend to call all the family EE lol I grow them in pots
mostly due to my poor soil and their need for constant moisture. They will grow in full sun but i find they do much better in shade and some wind protection.
You are really a neat gardener !! Is that a J. maple I see in the BG?? gary

Yes, that is a maple in the background.
