There are a couple of growers who do well with azaleas indoors at the Houseplant Forum, I don't find them easy inside. The humidity in my house is too low to please them, they require bright indirect light in a cool room, free from drafts. Outdoor azaleas bloom once in Spring from buds set the previous year - the tender florists types can be manipulated to bloom at other times but under conditions most of us cannot provide, a strict regime of special lighting, temps, fertlizers and growth hormones.

Do you all not grow the repeat-blooming Encore azaleas there in the Pacific Northwest? They're all the rage here in the Southeast and bloom during the springtime and then again in the fall.
