I think if you put the trellis 3 ft away from the siding to give some space for air circulation of the rose, reducing moisture damages to the siding, and maintenance of the siding such as washing or painting. If needed, horizontally supporting metal/wooden bars can be attached from the house wall to the trellis to hold it straight at greater height.

Then comes the maintenance of the climbers. Not everyone wants to be on a ladder to prune or deadhead, or train and tie the canes at 10 ft or more above ground. And itÂs hard to spray the thing at such height, itÂs better the climber needs to be quite disease resistant.

So make the trellis to some size that you can manage along that wall. ItÂs possible.
