Cool. It's amazing how early some seeds wake up. If I were a seed, I would sleep as long as I could. :)

Woo Hoo! That's one of the reasons I love sowing alyssum and dianthus....they are always the first to sprout for me! Congrats on your babies!

    Congrats, Karen!

My liatras haven't sprouted yet you must be getting more sun down there. :)

Got my first sprout this morning--lupine. It was in one of the first half gallon jugs I WS back in December. Adorable and already an inch and a half tall!
    Happy sprout dance in CT!

Several poppies here in PA (always among the first) and fancy sunflowers & Malva-believe it or not! A great surprise on a nasty rainy weekend!

Trust me, there's no sun here now. It has been raining since Friday around dinner time. Current temp 41°, low tonight 37°

    That's exciting!!
I'm curious, did you start perennial or annual alyssum?

Great going Karen!! My seeds are getting fatter by the day so it's only a matter of time.

The alyssum is an annual white one. I sow it every year in winter. It's very cold hardy and not bothered by frost. It takes a really deep freeze to kill it off.

    It's still raining.

Woo hoo Karen! I saved some seed from the golden-eyed rebeckia I received from you last year, hoping for success, but I see some green coming up already from last year's plants. I have a lupin seed sprouting..way too early, but we'll see how it goes.

    Have a great spring!

Yay Karen! I got some alyssium and dianthus (sweet william) sprouts just last week. It really is the best feeling to see them wake up, isn't it?

Wendy, those ruds usually last 2 years in my garden. And my saved seeds have been pretty stable for the last few years. I'm glad you'll have them again!

Every time I see sprouts, my heart sings! First time WS - I've been lurking here, lol. Put 19 individual pots within a plastic storage box out on Feb.9th. This morning Penstemon Rondo and Veronica have sprouted! Central CT, Zone 6. Sooo happy.
