Any chance of pictures?

Blooming that early, I would guess at 'Christmas Cheer'. Despite its misleading name, this flowers not at Christmas time but usually in February or March, sometimes slightly earlier.

Thank you for that. By the time I posted my question there was no chance of pictures.
The leaves are not rounded, and the color is perhaps slightly more salmony or baby-pinky than in the picture you kindly forwarded.

Could it be 'Rosa Mundi' ('Rosamundi')? The link is to a photo of this cultivar growing close to the site of the sadly demolished Otterhead House. There are other photos on the Otterhead Estate website
