My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Gusman's book doesn't say much about it except that it grows in the high mountains in 'monsoon' conditions. I would expect that this meens it sees both very wet and fairly dry conditions. The photo he has of it in his garden appears to be near some open shrubbery but its not too certain. I'm trying to grow it from seed also and have mine near a porch step where it should get diffuse light except for about 2 hours in the mid afternoon, but this is the first season in the garden so I have no info on how it will do long-term.
