Are you sure that it wasnt maybe a mislabled bulb? With my novice eye it looks like It may be Albus. Or I also know that there are a few more tropical species that have pure green petioles..

In any case ... can I buy an offset from you this fall ??? :)

Yep- Passiflora edulis v. 'Frederic'. One of the 50 or so passi's climbing around this place.

Pretty sure it's not- it came from Rick at RarePlantsFlorida, along with it's 3 friends.

Sure- if it off-sets you can have one.

The great thing about Amorphs is that the petiole is in no way an indicator of species becasue they are so variable. If you were just looking at petioles I've got many albus, bulbifer, cruddasianus, etc. that you would never guess are the same species, but they are....blooms are the only way to prove that. I was just at Alan galloway's and he has soooooo many of the same species with petioles that are so markedly different you would never guess they are the same species......the real reason I am a closet petiophile as many of you know :o) Dan

I need to start monitoring the passiflora forum, too. I like them - a lot, but only have 3.
