I think that any plant can get scale but I'm no expert. Good luck.

I've never had a pothos get scale, but when I get scale on one of my plants, my cure is to throw all my plants away. You might not like this method. :) Arum

Almost every plant can get scale. Use a systemic insecticide such as Cygon 2E (google it).

Neem oil works well for scale and won't kill you in the process.

I've had scale on various plants sitting next to Pothos, and the Pothos never got it. I would not worry about this unless you actually SEE scale on the Pothos.

I know this post is old, but the information is still helpful and relevant, so I'd like to add for posterity... I would spray the plant with a solution of dish soap and water just to be sure. I've read it's 2 teaspoons (use a brand that's free and clear of fragrances, like Seventh Generation or similar), but I mix it with a much higher concentration and so far, so good. I leave it on there for a while then just wipe off the excess. Some plants might be too delicate for this, but you probably can't kill pothos if you tried ;-D
