Impulse purchase at Weston Nursery (the source of many of the hardiest rhodies) on Mother's Day was Henry's Red, a glowing claret...or red, but not fluorescent at all.

If you have come up with or seen pleasing combinations shrubs, perennials and groundcovers with deep red, I'd like to hear about them. This rhod. grows to 4 x 5. One source suggested pinks and whites, which is probably too bold for my spring garden...which tends to run to pinks, lavender, deep blues.But I'm open to any and all suggestions
