In general, rhododendrons may be successfully moved any time the ground is not frozen, or they are not in active growth. The period of active growth is that time immediately after bloom when the foliage buds are opening.

i know here in the south, they grow great in shade, and have already bloomed.

if they're not already budding, then transplant them now.
