I was perusing the Frugal gardening forum and stumbled across this suggestion from tsmith2579. The post is discussing cloches. It sounds like a container that could be used for WSing. I thought I would pass it along.

See your local burger joint and ask them to save the plastic jugs the french fry oil comes in. Most are square, about 16-18 inches tall and have a large screw on top. Cut out the bottom and push the sides down into the soil. You can screw off the top every morning, drop it beside the jug and screw it back on every evening to hold the heat.

If you knew where you wanted your seedlings to go, you could cut out the bottom of a milk jug and use it as a cloche in a direct sow location.

Disadvantages: If you want to HOS the transplants, it would be easier to have them in the jug you can transport and brownie slice easily. Also, a front yard full of scattered milk jug cloches would be less attractive than a back yard jug gettho.

I was thinking one could use the oil jug with the bottom still on and prepared like a giant milk jug.
