I am in central/north PA, not far from you. My variegated consanguineums from Seneca Hill have done well. She sends nice material, grown and propagated at the nursery in NY. Just be sure they are not in an area that gets/stays soggy wet, they should do well whether planted now or stored until early spring. Note they are VERY late emergers, sometimes the first or second week of July. Just when you give up hope, they "explode" out of the ground.

I'm in Pittsburgh and these are trivial plants to grow.....good drainage and more sun than your average Arisaema in my experience. I got my variegated ones from Chen Yi years ago and then got one from NY....not enough difference in my opinion to make it worth the extra cost, but they are lovely, lovely plants. One of my favorite Arisaema because they are easy to grow, tall and offset well. Best of luck with yours :o) Dan

I was amused to see the comment about the lateness of this arisaema to emerge. I spend much of the Spring and early summer scraping at the ground to find emerging buds as I am convinced every year that I have lost them.
Oddly, the bulbs/corms from Chey Yi are much taller, some 6 ft. plus and they require staking.
Does anyone know where I can see the latest photos(06) of Chen Yi's plants.
After ordering two years ago and never receiving confirmation of payment sent, nor being able to elicit a response from Chen Yi, I now have to order through a friend.
