That's so cool!

Did it do this last year as well? I was just looking around on the web for pics of ripe berries and couldn't find any. How long do they take to mature? It's pretty neat that the inflorescence is at the base of the plant,is that always the case or do/can they do it further up the vine?

I can't remember if it flowered last year, it's not very obvious when it happens. It's not flowering near the base of the plant, the photos are of the upper parts of the vine. Don't know how long the berries take.

I have lots of aroids that have been flowering lately. Apart from the Amorphs there's been Gonotopus bovinii, Lasia spinosa, Cyrtosperma johnstoni, Typhonodorum lindleyana, various Caladiums, Anchomanes difformis, and probably a few others that don't come to mind.

I have this plant though it's a tiny cutting I got in trade. Wonder why the 23 always-there hanging baskets of Pothos at any store can't include any of this variety?

I'm with Purp in wanting to see leaves. Shots of the whole plant would be cool too if manageable.

Something tells me I'm going to end up wanting one in my collection. Okay...I already do. lol

It's not a variety, it's a different species to E. aureum.

I'm away from home at the moment, will take some photos of the whole plant when I get back in a bit over a week. Not sure how many plants there are in there though. I put some in a pond and it spread around. It likes its main roots in water and any roots along the stem only help it climb.

Oops...ya that's what I meant...think I was fading at that point. The sleep monster sneaks up on me sometimes.

While we wait, here's my little cutting. It arrived in such bad shape, I was pessimistic that it would survive - 2 broken leaves on a small stem.

yes, it's a marginal plant. Here they grow along creeks. As a matter of fact, that reminds me, I could have a few photos of it in habitat on my computer with me. (Sign of the times, we travel wth our computers, LOL. What's next? Travel with our telephones .... oops, we already do that too.) The adult leaves are the same as the juvenile, except much bigger.

Found a photo from home. This one grew through the water across to the Typhonodorum, and then up it. That's the one with the old inflorescence and berries developing.

Any idea what max size for a mature leaf ends up being?

I've never seen any leaves dissect at all (voluntarily that is).. They do range naturally from New Guinea through the South Pacific to Vanuatu and northern Australia. Perhaps in other parts of its range there are some variations, I don't know..

I'll have to get home to measure the leaf size. Mine have leaves as large as any I've seen in the wild, even those rght up in the tree tops.
