I keep mine kind-of growing in a sunny window in cold room. When temps consistently stay below 50 F, I give very little to no water or they rot. I've never tried to store totally dormant, but these don't produce the kind of tubers/corms that the regular Elephant Ears do. When temps start warming up in early spring, I start watering more. If you can keep them growing through the winter, that would be your best bet. Don't expect the lush foliage like you get in the summer, but if you can keep a few leaves on the plant through the winter it will rebound like crazy come spring.

Thanks so much! That's what I'll try.

Emphasis should be on super light watering. Colocasia seem to hate cold and wet and WILL likely rot with too much water. A consistently 50F room is cold.

P.S. 'Coffee Cups' is properly 'Tea Cups' per an Australian grower.

Thanks for the tips. My Coffee Cups have done well all winter, so I'm guessing they'll make it till mid/late May when I can plant them out. I potted them up a few weeks before the end of the season, and left them outside until I knew we'd be getting frosts.

I cut them back a lot, then moved them to a reasonably sunny room. I left the heat on in the room and have kept them watered, but lightly, all winter.

They're nothing like during the summer...more sparse and only about three feet tall, but I'm sure they'll take off great.
