Well, it's been 2 months since Ike hit our littl island. We had 4' of salt water in the yard for 24-36 hours, noone was here so we don't know how long it stayed around. All of the philos died. So did the majority of the EE's. There isn't even a trace of them. We had a huge tree fall across the backyard so that did a lot of damage. But it was the salt water that killed most of the plants. The whole island looks dead and terrible. I found most of the amorph bulbs. The foliage was starting to die back on most before we left, it was all dead when we got back and the pots had floated around, were squashed by the tree, etc. I can't find most of the bulbs that were buried but that may just be because all the landmarks in the yard have floated off, died or gotten squashed. We'll just see what happens in the spring. The bulbs I did find and dig-some had some rot so I cleaned them up and dusted them, most appear ok but they are kind of a strange shade of pink.
