Generally an accent wall is the focal point of the room , either of the ends would be a great spot but your furniture doesn't seem to be laid out focusing on either- maybe it's not only which wall to Paint but how to have the furniture laid out?

I'd start by putting the tv where the tapestry is now. That then becomes your focal wall, and it would definitely look great aqua. Put your seating where the piano is, and move the piano either under the window or where your tv currently is. Please post pics if you make these changes, because I think it's going to look AMAZING!

I think you are premature in considering an accent wall. Not much in this room seems to coordinate or work together. Maybe there are other issues to be solved. Try the sofa and coffee table under the tapestry wall, the piano centered on its wall with the larger piece of art 5" above it. Replace the frilly tied back curtains with some straight hanging ones hung floor to ceiling. Bring the chair and side table to angle in front of the window, facing the sofa. Eliminate the other pieces of furniture and lets shop your other rooms for pieces that need to go in this space to make it a living room, and not a catch-all spot. Then if you still want an accent wall, a color from the tapestry can be used on the piano wall.

Hi. the others have major changes going, but may I ask [if no one did and if you'll be adjusting layout] if the piano couldn't be placed on wall to its right? and making room for a chaise/ chair in corner by window? what about moving it most of the way to right? I guess that'd leave the wall too 'empty' see I'm on a curve... :)

From your tapestry pull out a soft green and I liked the idea of paint behind tapestry... color in curtain and pillow/s with bottom/middle green? pear?

Do I need any curtains at all? I don't use them and they were left by previous owners.

Definitely lose those current curtains but maybe you can introduce some aqua with some new curtains to tie it all together.

I don't think you need curtains at all. If anything, I'd do a bamboo blind. Once you have that aqua, with the creaminess of the other walls I think a darker, earthy pop would be nice.

Tranquil aqua like ehanback's paint, but as I thought about it, especially cause your art has shades of green, having wall in one shade and if you go with curtain, having that a few shades over in the greens would be more interesting [and not matchy though that's not all bad].

We notice the two chairs right in front of the tv and so it'd be good if you could try a better layout and post sofa in any way suggested.... don't know if this was yet, but here goes: what about turning it so it'd face tv unit [moved to adjoining end wall]? [leave room to get to piano and try tapestry over it -- accent wall over couch and piano for your color]....

I don't know the sq footage of the room, but I agree with the person who stated you seem to have no focal point. My first thoughts were to have the couch facing the window, coffee table in front etc. But you have two large pieces being the television console and piano. You need these pieces to anchor your space. So on one end the piano with the tapestry above and at the other end on a wall painted a bold color from the tapestry would be the families focal point, the television, couch facing it with coffee table in front.
Two chairs placed on other side of table facing the couch. This way guests would see the bold tapestry above piano while in conversation, or turn the chairs toward the TV, where a subtle, but bold color would help bring focus to the entertainment they are viewing. I would start there
first. Again You may not have space to put couch in middle of room. Just start Moving stuff, experiment! Go for it
