As I finish up my family room, I am starting to plan for my dungeon...I mean...dining room. It's so dark, and blue on the walls is NOT my thing! Wait until you see the adjacent orange living room! Yes, I said orange. So, I want to add some texture and love the strie painting technique using metallic glaze. I've never attempted this before and I am wondering if anyone can offer advice for this technique. I already plan on using a practice board first. My plan is a khaki color below the chair rail and a creamy almond base above the chair rail with a pearl, oyster, or maybe light gold(?) metallic glaze over the creamy almond.
